Mike Huckabee is hoping to do well in the South Carolina primary, he’s been campaigning in over 30 states over the past year “to share his message of vertical politics that he says reflects American values and priorities” (1). From a vegan standpoint it is very clear that he has very little regards to animal rights when he admitted to MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough in South Carolina that he used to fry innocent squirrels in college. He states, “When I was in college, we used to take a popcorn popper, because that was the only thing they would let us use in the dorm, and we would fry squirrels in a popcorn popper in the dorm room” (2).

Thanks Huckabee, you just made the Vegan community’s decision on a presidential candidate easier.
